NEW YORK – Last Saturday night, Jeremías Pérez Artiga was at Shuart Stadium photographing the New York Cosmos exciting and disappointing 2-2 draw against their rivals, the Tampa Bay Rowdies. No matter, the club’s #RallyToRepeat is very much alive and if the soccer gods are generous, they’ll be hosting Soccer Bowl.
For Jeremi, last Saturday’s match was his final one for ThisIsCosmosCountry. A few months ago, we agreed that following the conclusion of the Cosmos final home match of the Fall season, we were through with our coverage of the Cosmos. Without a shadow of a doubt, Jeremi was the best photographer who covered the Cosmos for the past three seasons.
Along with covering the matches, he also captured the life and passion of Cosmos Country. Review his past photos and you’ll see how much love Jeremi put forth in his coverage. As long as he continues to do the work and challenge himself to be better, he will go far in his career.
No longer covering the Cosmos, Jeremi will continue to work hard for Rockass Online, an online publication dedicated to Music Concerts, Festivals, Rock en espanol, Latin Alternative and beyond. With that said, enjoy Jeremi’s photos of the Five Points.
